LEMURI, A HERO BEYOND BOUNDARIES
The tale and songs of an Italian story

A mysterious musician, with no memory at all, has been living for eight years in a closed room and yet his days are full of emotions. He plays the piano, draws, writes in his diary and, above all, is able to travel in an extraordinary way by using the energy released by objects surrounding him.
His adventure begins in a small town lost in the mountains of Friuli-Venezia Giulia (a region of North-Eastern Italy) and ends in a chaotic metropolis. It represents the metaphorical trip that all of us face when passing from childhood to adulthood: loss of innocence, compromises, and the search for harmony within ourselves and with the surrounding world.
Sometimes fiction becomes reality: Giulio De Vita’s drawings, together with the tale and songs of Vittorio Centrone (which inspired the book, CD, stage show, video clips and exhibition), prove that "Lemuri the Visionary” (original title: “Lemuri il Visionario") is here today among us.

GIULIO DE VITA
Giulio De Vita tells Stories.
He tells them through his drawings, the expressive means of the grand masters of the Ninth Art.
Characters born from his pencil are carefully directed, like actors on a film set. The expressions and the motions of the main characters and the extras are set on paper in that “fleeting” moment that naturally suggests the “before and after” of the action that is about to occur.
The hero is the main character of De Vita’s stories and is characterized by a magical and fantastic element: James Healer is a detective with the gift of clairvoyance; Nigel, the main character of “Wisher”, is the reincarnation of the last genie; Kriss De Valnor is an invincible woman warrior subject to the final judgment of the Valkyries; Lemuri is the musician without memory but with the gift of “psychometrics".
Heroes.
Beyond style.
Beyond time.
Beyond boundaries.

BIOGRAPHY
Giulio De Vita (1971) is one of the most famous Italian comic book artists, and is known worldwide.
At the age of 16 he starts working in advertising.
In 1993, he debuts as comic book artist in the comics series “Lazarus Ledd” and immediately afterwards establishes himself as the author of superhero covers for Marvel Italia.
In 1996, he storyboards and directs a few musical video clips (among which those for rock stars Zucchero and Sting) and works side by side with film director Roman Polanski.
In 2000, he creates the characters of the animation film “Aida of the Trees”, and he returns to comics, landing on the French market which welcomes him with numerous recognitions as one of the major talents of his generation.
Among his greatest works are: “Le Décalogue” (2001), three albums in the series “James Healer” (2002), the series “Kylion” (2004) for Disney Italia, also presented at the San Diego Comic-Con, three albums of the series “Wisher” (2006) recently published in the USA in "Heavy Metal” magazine, and the last and most fortunate "Kriss de Valnor" (2010).
In 2004, he receives the prestigious "Inter-Auteurs" award at the festival of Mandelieu (France) as best pencil artist of the year, and in 2008 he is considered by the specialized magazine DBD as one of the best top 10 comic artists of the French-Belgian market.
In 2010, together with Vittorio Centrone, he creates the multimedia project “Lemuri the Visionary” (original title: “Lemuri il Visionario”).
He lives and works in Pordenone, a small town in North-Eastern Italy.

VITTORIO CENTRONE
Vittorio Centrone is a daydreamer musician.
His songs are pictures floating in mid air, small fairytales made of sounds, words and noises that become more tangible than real objects when listened to.
His music is born from the instincts of a young heart, because nothing is knowledge but all is imagination.
This type of artistic approach could only lead to the creation of extraordinary characters: “Lemuri the Visionary” slowly takes shape from the womb of a song.
An idea that crosses the line of reality and appears to the world in flesh and bones to tell the world that even the trunk of a tree can tell the story of the universe.

BIOGRAPHY
Musician and singer, Vittorio Centrone was born in 1963.
In the 80s, he plays the keyboard and is songwriter for “Futuritmi”, a group from Pordenone, with which he records the CD “Il Bambino che baciava e marameo alla morte” (produced by Nick Griffiths, Pink Floyd), and takes part in various music shows of that period.
In 1994, he moves to Milan where he begins his carrier as singer-songwriter writing both music and lyrics for different record productions.
In 1999, he debuts as a solo artist with the CD “Il Porto dei Santi”. In 2003, he participates in the Festival di Sanremo (Sanremo’s Music Festival) as songwriter with “Chi sei non lo so” performed by Verdiana, and later singing “Dragostea Din Tei” (originally performed by Haiducii) reaching number one on the Italian and international charts.
In 2004, he moves to Rome and works on theatre productions both as writer and singer-actor.
In 2008, he writes and produces the comedy “Karma Party” and stars in the show "Chroma” dedicated to the English artist Derek Jarman.
“Lemuri the Visionary” (original title: “Lemuri il Visionario”) gathers all his different artistic experiences lived up to this day.
